Reading Tips

The Reading Challenge
"Putting Kids and Books Together"

Here are some tips to build Reading Skills:
  1. Read the first part of an exciting story aloud.  Your child is likely to finish it alone.
  2. Keep a wide variety of reading material around the house - books, magazines, newspapers, riddles, poems, and comic books.
  3. Let your kids see you reading for fun regularly, and talk about what your've read.
  4. If your child is struggling with a book, take turns reading.
  5. Encourage your kids to read everything they see - cereal boxes, sports cards, advertisements, and road signs.
