Working Together ... Teachers and Parents Can Make A Difference!
My name is Joel Martin and I am blessed to be the new Principal of Sharp Creek Elementary in the MSD of Wabash County. What a privilege it is! The talented and friendly staff here are so welcoming and helpful that I anticipate nothing short of a great school year. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I can be of help… always happy to meet with those sharing our task of assisting young people to grow and develop.
I became an educator because my father was a teacher and my mother was a school secretary and librarian… and they always seemed to enjoy and value their roles. It was a treat for me to sit at the supper table and hear them tell stories of their day and talk about the relationships they developed with young people. I was also fortunate to have had teachers and coaches throughout my school years who cared for me as a person and always had my best interests at heart. The noble profession of school teacher was an easy choice for me to make.
Working as a team our school staff will strive daily to meet the individual needs of each student. We invite you to communicate with us often as you are a valuable partner in the pursuit of inspiring your child to discover and achieve their passion and potential. My administrative background consists of 18 years at Oak Hill Schools and I have 14 years of teaching experience in varying grades, subject areas, and school corporations. I am fortunate to be supported by my wife of 24 years and our 5 children (plus a daughter in law and a son in law).Looking forward to working together!
