Welcome!

Thank you for visiting Southwood Elementary!  Each day, we strive to empower students to live out the mission of our school district: “Inspiring a community of learners to discover and achieve their passion and potential.”  This begins by building up healthy relationships among all members of our school community: students, parents, teachers, support staff, visitors, and anyone else associated with Southwood Elementary.

We have approximately 450 students in grades Pre-K through sixth.  Daily learning experiences aim to challenge students by pushing their thinking and giving them opportunities to collaborate with classmates.  Beyond the classroom, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extracurricular experiences: Math Bowl, Spell Bowl, Robotics, Battle of the Books, Art shows/contests, Musical programs, and athletics.

At Southwood Elementary, we strive every day to live the Knight Way, the Right Way, by being Responsible, Respectful, and Safe.  Thank you for partnering with us in learning!
